Open air markets are common in Azerbaijan, especially in smaller cities like Ganja. Very few large stores exist, and most vendors survive on meager sales from tiny kiosks, shops and booths. Many cheap, poor quality imported goods from China and Turkey flood the markets and very little local production can be found.
