Parking at the Beach

Lake Balkash, Kazakhstan 2001

What an amazing beach party! The remnants of better times were apparent in the rusted and broken down beach umbrellas and huts along the shoreline. All sorts of cars, caravans and tents were set up for miles and miles, intermingled with dump sites that have been neglected for months or even years. The occassional cow here and there scavenged through the remains of bbq's and watermelon rinds. Most beachcomers were oblivious to this side of their holidaymaking.
