Laura Mack grew up on the East Coast outside of Philadelphia in New Jersey. In her youth, she was exposed to international living which led her to study Russian and International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania.

After graduation, she lived and worked in Russia during the fast-paced and dynamic nineties. Predominantly working in the fast moving consumer goods industry, she was successful at helping to bring Tyson, Sara Lee, Hershey's, Budweiser, Remy Martin, Finlandia and Jack Daniels into the market and growing brand recognition.

In 1998, Laura moved to California where she explored public education for a few years. During her free time, she maintained contacts in Russia and has taken several consulting assignments overseas, traveling to Siberia, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Georgia and Azerbaijan. Her passion for photography and travel writing became much more serious as she began photographing everyday life in these places on her trips.

Today, she continues to develop her consulting business in sales and marketing. Some of her projects include intercultural transitions for expatriates, bilingual sight-seeing and wine-tasting tours for Russian tourists, school and corporate country presentations, and most recently she's been contemplating cooking and culture workshops. However, you might see her out on the roads on her yellow Lemond road bike or hiking at Lake Chabot!

The photography in this exhibit covers 5 years of travel to and from Siberia, Moscow, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Georgia, the U.K. and France.

For more information, please visit her web site at http://www.lkmcreativesolutions.com or contact her at (510)910-6406 or laura@lkmcreativesolutions.com.
