The show opened on November 5th as part of the Alameda Art Center's First Friday Gallery Walk. With great pre-opening press, over 150 people came by and enjoyed live music by cellist Elaine Kreston, home-made feta walnut dip and veggies, and a journey to far away lands. MC, Laura Mack, raffled off prizes throughout the evening and at 10 p.m., with a smaller intimate crowd, she held a final auction for a photograph of the lovely 70 year old Kazakh woman. All in all, it was an exciting and entertaining evening!

Adrian won the ram's horn vessel, or quansi, used for drinking spirits

Joannie won the Kazakh Woman photograph at the end of the evening spontaneous auction!

Zig won a small Russian wooden spoon.
