Through her work in sales and marketing, she traveled throughout Russia and developed the larger markets of Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as a variety of other important cities throughout the country, offering trainings, seminars and workshops to wholesale and retail customers as well as end-users.
With a background in International Relations and Russian Studies, Laura has developed an intuitive understanding along with a concrete knowledge of the cultural similarities and differences that make the business and living environments in Russia unique. Her adaptability and flexibility enable her to create a custom-designed and targeted approach for clients.
Since 2000, Laura has been consulting in the former Soviet Republics, including Georgia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan (see ACDI/VOCA), enabling small and medium sized businesses to develop key business skills in strategic planning, market research, sales, and customer service. Her work has been developed across numerous industries, including construction, household products, textiles, as well as food and beverages.
A native of the East Coast and an alumna of the University of Pennsylvania, Laura now resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she has more recently started a career in educational fundraising. However, she remains actively interested in maintaining key contact with Russia, maintaining her fluency and offering consulting services in sales and marketing.
In additional to her business services, Laura has created photographic presentations on the places she has visited and worked. These include Moscow, Siberia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and the Republic of Georgia. An extensive sampling of this work can be found on this website.
